In the Aholo Editor, you can use the Crop tool to remove unwanted areas or noise, keeping only the essential parts of your model for a cleaner, more focused result.
Enter Crop Mode
Open your project
Click on the model in the scene to bring up the floating toolbar
Click “Crop” to enter crop mode
Choose a Crop Shape
Before adjusting, select the shape of the cropping area:
1. Cube
Ideal for spatial scenes
Easier to align with architectural structures
2. Cylinder
Better suited for single objects
Wraps around the subject more naturally

Adjust the Crop Area
The crop box can be precisely controlled along the X, Y, and Z axes:
1. Move the Crop Area (Position Adjustment)
How to:
Drag an axis (X / Y / Z) → move the crop box along that direction (size unchanged)
Click an axis → enter an exact distance (e.g., 2 m)
Concept:
Think of this as translating the crop box in 3D space
The size stays the same; only the position changes
2. Resize the Crop Area (Range Adjustment)
How to:
Drag the handles on an axis → adjust the length in that direction
Click a handle → enter a scale value (e.g., 2 → doubles the length)
During adjustment, you’ll see two values update:
Percentage (e.g., X: 11%)
Actual size (e.g., 2.786 m)
Concept:
Dragging = manual stretching of the crop box
Entering values = precise size control
Choose a Cropping Mode
After adjusting position and size, select how the crop should be applied:
1. Crop Outside
Keeps the area inside the crop box
Removes everything outside
Best for:
Removing background
Cleaning edge noise
2. Crop Inside
Keeps the area outside the crop box
Removes everything inside
Best for:
Removing local interference
Eliminating unwanted elements in the center
Save & Undo
After finishing your adjustments:
Click “×” to exit crop editing
Click “✔” to apply the crop
Tips:
Before saving, you can click “Undo” to revert the previous step
Once saved, the crop cannot be undone—make sure everything looks correct before applying

Best Practices
For complex models, use smaller, multiple crops for better precision
Leave some margin to avoid over-cropping
