In the Aholo Editor, you can use the Measurement tool to obtain real-world dimensions within your model.
With “Auto-correct”, you can also adjust the overall scale to ensure more accurate results.
1. Measurement Overview
Measurement types:
Ruler: Auto measure distance between two points
Path: Continuous measurement of distances across multiple paths
2. How to Measure Distance
1. Enable the Measurement Tool
Click “Ruler”
2. Set Measurement Points
Click the first point on the model
Click the second point
The system will automatically calculate the distance between the two points.
3. View Results
The measurement result will be displayed between the two points
3. One-Click Scale Calibration
If the measured result does not match the real-world size, you can calibrate the model scale by entering a reference value.
1. Select Reference Points
Choose two points with a known real-world distance
(e.g., between two walls, edges of an object, etc.)
2. Enter the Real Measurement
Click “Auto-correct”
Enter the actual distance between the two points (target value)
3. Apply Calibration
The system will automatically adjust the scale of the entire model
Click “Save” to apply and store the calibrated scale
Result:
All measurements will update accordingly
The model scale will align with real-world dimensions
4. Accuracy Tips
To achieve better precision:
1. Choose Proper Reference Points
Select two points that are relatively far apart
Prefer points with accurately measurable real-world distances
Ensure the points are clearly visible in the model
2. Avoid Common Errors
Do not select blurry or incomplete areas
Avoid regions with poor reconstruction quality
Use clear edges, corners, or object boundaries whenever possible.
